The Chanticleer Blue Ribbon Awards Writing Competitions discover outstanding works and recognize emerging new talent in today’s era of unbounded publishing.

Submissions to CBR Blue Ribbons Awards are received from around the world. Entries hail from the United Kingdom, Germany, Malta, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Iceland, and more. Our writing competitions are truly international in scope.

Finalists are projected to be announced approximately six months after the last day of submissions. First in Category award winners are then announced approximately three months after Finalists are announced. All Grand Prize genre winners are announced at the annual Chanticleer Awards Banquet.

Please note that we do not announce Finalists or First in Category Winners during the month of September as use this month to promote the First in Category winners that are competing for their genre’s grand prize position.

Chanticleer Book Reviews Grand Prize Blue Ribbon for Best Book 2014

Grand Prize Blue Ribbon for Best Book 2014 will receive a $ 1,000 plus prizes and promotion.  The winner will be announced in September 2015 at the Grand Prize Awards Banquet. There will be only one CBR Overall Grand Prize Blue Ribbon Winner 2014. Only First Place Genre award winners may compete for the Genre Divisions’ Grand Prize for Best Book 2014. If a manuscript wins, it will be eligible to be  forwarded to literary agents who have contacted CBR for first peeks at outstanding manuscripts (upon author approval).  Prizes and Ribbons will be awarded at Chanticleer Book Reviews Awards Banquet that will be held September 2015.

Chanticleer Book Reviews retains the right to not declare “default winners.”  Winning works are decided upon merit only and not empty slots.
