Manuscript Overview Reconciliation
Manuscript Overview Reconciliation
After a work has gone through a manuscript evaluation, the author or publisher may want a reconciliation of the editor's suggestions and the rework of the manuscript by the author. Keep in mind that the author always retains total control of the manuscript and decides which suggestions made by the editor to incorporate.
The reconciliation will crossreference the editor's notes, the author's notes, and the manuscript.
The same editor who evaluated the work will be assigned the reconciliation project. We only reconcile manuscript evaluations conducted by Chanticleer Editorial Services.
Please keep in mind that both the manuscript overview/evaluation and reconciliation are not line edits or copy edits. Manuscript Evaluations and Reconciliations are considered to be developmental editing processes.

Please thank the editor for her insightful and pinpoint comments as to how I can make the book better. They were very good and I’ve already incorporated many into the manuscript. –D.S.

What is a Manuscript Overview: It is an objective evaluation of a story idea that is fully formed with a beginning, middle, and end, but still in an early draft stage. The MO comes before LINE EDITING and COPY EDITING.
The manuscript overview saves the author time and energy, and if the author is self-published, then money in editing fees.
